Our home is located within the ZTL area (Limited Traffic Area, accessible only by permanent residents). We do not offer on-site parking or allow entering the city with a car. You cannot drop off luggage directly unless arriving by taxi, as they have special permission to enter.
If arriving by car, there is ample parking outside the walls and limited parking inside. Inside the walls: park only in blue paid spots (pay via machine or app). Outside the walls: we recommend the free parking lot, which is about a 10-15 minute walk to the house.
If arriving by train, the journey is simple. We are a quick and direct 14-minute walk to the house through the beautiful Porta San Pietro gate.

"What a wonderful city and apartment. The house is in a perfect location close to all Lucca has to offer. The three beds with en-suite baths were so comfortable. "An excellent find in an amazing city. Lucca is best on bikes so you can cover the entire city (and burn off the pasta tordelli!). This host provides 2 bikes and there are 2 rental places within 200m. Do what you can to get a reservation at the restaurant nearly next door, Osteria da Pasquale. It is over the top in food quality, wine curation, and friendliness. Around the corner in the closest square is Vanni wine shop and next to it, their bar. Visit the wine shop for an equally well curated set of options, and then ask to sit at the bar with it and order their charcuterie board. This is well beyond any tourist driven experience. They, like Pasquale, are the kind of places oenophiles and foodies that value “authentic” are always hoping to find. Brava Casa Ettore and the community that surrounds you.

Casa Ettore is our full-time home that we rent out while off on our own adventures. While we make space for you, much of our personal belongings remain (especially in the master room). We open our home to you with trust and hope you will appreciate all the comforts that a regular home (not a sterile vacation rental) provides.
Required by Italian Law: We must collect passport information and submit it to Italian authorities within 24 hours of check-in. You will be asked to share a photo of all passports via Airbnb's secure messaging system prior to check-in. The lockbox code will be shared only after all photos have been sent.
